A Palm Beach Holiday
You know the old saying; there's nothing like home for the holidays.
This Christmas was one well spent, and I want to show you a glimpse of one of my favorite days of my trip back home.
Gilded Age Afternoon Tea
at Café des Beaux-Arts, Palm Beach FL
Mom and I spent the day exploring the Flagler Museum on Palm Beach island, taking a brisk stroll down Worth Avenue, and nibbling on some good eats at City Cellar in City Place.
Let's start with tea.
Tiny sandwiches with the crusts cut off and desserts you can eat in one bite. Yeah. That kind of tea. The fancy kind.
If you couldn't tell, the desserts were my favorite part.
Flagler Museum
Next was a tour of the Flagler Museum itself; the main attraction, if you will. If you ever find yourself in Palm Beach and looking for an hour to kill I would highly suggest stopping by this gorgeous historic attraction.
Since our feet weren't tired yet we decided to stop by Worth Avenue as we left the museum.
If you haven't been to Worth Avenue, you should definitely check it out. That being said, wear some really nice clothes, be prepared for some walking, and don't forget your credit card(s), 'cause Worth Avenue is the Rodeo Drive of Palm Beach.
"... the Rodeo Drive of Palm Beach."
Let's shop (or look and don't touch) 'til we drop!
We ended the fabulous girls' day with a trip to City Place and a bite at City Cellar.
A bite to eat
Mom enjoyed a much more colorful salad
